About me & my family...
David (デイビッド13歳)
This is my son. He is growing fast! He enjoys computers and anything electronic. We sometimes shoot baskets together. He and his sister enjoy basketball. Our favorite teams are the L.A Lakers and the Clippers. David loves California and dreams of living there one day. He said that I can visit him anytime. What a nice son!
Sara Lexi (サラ12歳)
She likes to draw and play sports. She also enjoys reading books. She goes through them like crazy! I hope that we can write a book together one day.
I think she'd prefer to do it alone. Anyway, I have to give her credit for her creativity. She is clever as well. If she ever becomes a literary agent, I hope she'll give my writing a favorable look.

Married to Michiko
WA Few Words About Married Life
Michiko and I have been married for 18 years. We met in a church in Shibuya, where we also had our first date. I don't think we imagined when we married that we would become interested in helping other couples with their own marriages. We probably felt under-qualified to help anyone else. Our own marriage was challenging enough. But over the years, we began to develop a real interest in offering help to other couples by sharing many things we have learned on our own journey.
Marriage isn't always easy ... does that come as a surprise?
As I hope to highlight in my coming marriage book, marriage can be hard at times. Obviously, this can come as a real shock to couples who hold a more idealized, romantic view of marriage life. But, if two people "in love" can ride out the initial storms of marital life, there is a helpful perspective on the horizon that will equip you for the long journey of marriage. I think this is what Michiko and I have discovered. Yes, marriage isn't always easy. There is a lot of compromise involved and the need to make adjustments to one's expectations. But the rewards far outweigh the sacrifices of time, energy and compromise.
It isn't easy to have this "giving-perspective" in the beginning of one's marriage. But it does come with time - if you are willing to think outside the box. A happy and healthy marriage requires that we daily say "I do," by taking the highroad view of marriage where we live to serve and to bless our spouse.
